Performance“Dollar Dance/ Marked Bill Exchange” Ken Little performance; 2012 For this performance called “Dollar Dance/ Marked Bill Exchange” I made drawings on $1 Bills with words like TEETH, SOFT, PITCH, SCRATCH, MEAT, etc. Each dollar was signed and safety pinned to a dark suit. The exhibition was a one night installation at a local art patron’s vacant apartment. It was called Vacancy and was organized by Nate Cassie and Ethyl Shipton. The participants were given a card asking if they wanted a FAST dance or a SLOW dance. They would exchange a bill in a larger denomination than $1 on the suit and collect their dance. These are documents of some of the drawings. They are drawn on life-sized real one dollar bills. | 2012_Dollardance1_PPt | "Dollar Dance/Marked Bill Exchange" Performed in San Antonio, Texas; Vacancy Art Exhibit, 2012 | 2012_DollarDance3_PPt | This was the take down of the third showing of "Homeland Security" at Hemisfair Park in San Antonio, Texas in 2010.
